Mrs. Catherine J. Brooks, 89, departed this life on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at her home in Pittsboro, NC. She is survived by her children, Mary Frances Headen (Clifton), Causaunda French, Delvenia Brooks, Benee Brooks, Jeanie Brooks, Jerry Brooks (Victoria), Mary DeLois Nettles and Tamara Johnson; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, April 10, 2015 at Mitchell Chapel AME Zion Church in Pittsboro, NC. Visitation with the family will start at 10:30am. The funeral will follow at 12:00pm.
