Nancy Smith Hooke passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born oneebruary 20, 1930 to Page and Sidney Smith of Greensboro, NC. After graduating from UNC-G with a degree in Piano, she was married to William Hooke on June 3, 1952. She lived with her family in Princeton, NJ from 1953 to 1986 where she worked variously as a docent at the Princeton Uneersity Art Museum, a maneer at the Princeton Uneersity Development Office, and most importantly, as a loving and caring mother and wife. She lived ineetirement in Chapel Hill, NC from 1986 until her passing. She is survived by her husband William, he son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Lisa Hooke and her grandson, William Robert Hooke of Efland, NC. A service to celebrate Mrs. Hooke's life will be held at the Chapel of the Cross, 304 E.
