Quintoneee Sorrell, Jr.

Quintoneee Sorrell, Jr., age 92, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Western Wake Medical Center. A Durham native, Quinton was born to the late Quintoneee and Belle Fletcher Sorrell on October 4, 1925. He spent his entire career as a civil engineer with the NC Department of Transportation. Quinton is survived by his five children: Quintoneee Sorrell III and wife, Dianne, of Mooresville, NC; Charles Vernon Sorrell and wife, Melanie, of Clayton, NC; Charlene Sorrell Meyers and husband, Erich, of Indiana; Candace Belinda Sorrell of Apex, NC; and Dwayne Allen Sorrell of Japan; and two grandchildren, Christopher Sorrell and Jeremy Meyers. He was preceded ineeath by his wife, Arlene Hopson Sorrell and his grandson, Quintoneee Sorrell IV. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Monday, January 22, 2018, at Maplewood Cemetery, Section 2 with Pastor Charlie McNeill presiding. Friends may visit with the family following the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one???s choice.
