Rachel Frances Bates Johnson

Rachel Frances Bates Johnson, age 78, died April 29, 2010 at Britthaven Nursing Home in Louisburg. She was born March 1, 1932 in Richmond, VA to the late Samuel A. aneellen Gibbs Bates. Rachel was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Kittrell where she sang in the choir and was active in Sunday School class. She is survived by her son, John Thomas Karnes; her grandson, Benjamin Thomas Karnes; two sisters, Eunee B. Pulley of Kittrell, NC; and Ida Luck of Kearneysville, WV; aneeighteen nieces and nephews.
