Rilla Patton

Rilla Katherine Shaffer Patton, born May 7, 1911 ineew Castle, PA, died Monday, February 28 at Magnolia Gardens Nursing Home. She was the third of seven children. Rilla was very active with the church. She was a founding member of Northmineer Uneed Presbyterian Church in Fairless Hills, PA, and was one of the first female Elders elected in the Uneed Presbyterian Church. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church since moving to Durham in 1967. Rilla moved to Durham with her husband, Willard, to help two of her sons start a new business called Patco, Inc. She later started another business with her husband and sons in 1970, called Pinehurst Canee Shop, which she owned until 1999. The
