OXFORD: William Ervin Elliott, Sr. age 68, of 9520 Reuben Hart Road, died Thursday, February 11, 2010. A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Elijah Earl and Nanee Rebecca Elliott Elliott. He was a member of Amis Chapel Baptist Church and was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Elliott was a farmer and a cattleman and was retired from Burlington Industries in Clarksville, VA. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from Amis Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Michael Harris and Rev. Terry Howard. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are three sons, Williams Ervin Elliott, Jr.Faicia of McGraw, N.Y., Ray Elliott Gussie and Roger M. Elliott Alice, both of Oxford; a brother, Edward Elliott of Oxford; companion, Janeeneebright of the home; 5 grandchildren, Anthoneelliott, Candice Hough, Tawnya Elliott, Morgan Elliott, Roger Elliott, Jr.; 1 great-grandchild, Jeffrey Hough. He was preceded ineeath by his wife, Mary Ann Morgan Elliott; brothers, T. C. Elliott, Wayneelliott, and Haskineelliott; sisters, Thelmarin Almond, Mildred Boyd, and Alice Humphries. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford, NC from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. and at other times at the home.
